Home | This leather make-up box belonged to Greta Garbo. It was given as a present to Hugo Borg. The outside is covered in the signatures of actors working in the 1930's. Conserved for a private client in the USA. |

The box had split at the corners (see left) and the ends of the padded lid had worn through allowing the layers to separate. | ||
The damaged corners, and the lid, were repaired with new, very thin, archival quality leather bonded into place with conservation grade adhesives. The picture to the left shows the corner illustrated above after conservation. The signature of Buster Keaton can be seen in the lower right corner. |
